European Symposium prize for Gaetano RICCI

European Symposium on Computing Pi-Conjugated Compounds (CpiC) prize

Gaetano Ricci, PhD student supervised by Pr. Yoann Olivier, obtained at the last European Symposium on Computing Pi-Conjugated Compounds (CpiC) that was organized between the 18th and the 20th of January 2021, one of the two prizes for the best presentation.
Due to the Covid situation, the conference took place online and gathered more than a hundred participants.
Gaetano presented the results of a collaborative work with Prof. Juan-Carlos Sancho-Garcia from the University of Alicante in Spain entitled "Inverting the Singlet-Triplet Excitation Energy Gap in Triangle-Shaped Molecular Emitters". This study deals with the development of a new design strategy of molecular compounds for improving Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) efficiencies.
