PhD degree for Pierre HIRCHENHAHN from NISM
On February 5th 2021, Pierre HIRCHENHAHN from NISM obtained his PhD in sciences, after his public lecture in defense of his PhD thesis.
The thesis is entitled "Fundamental study of the adhesion phenomena in polymer-metal hybrid materials obtained by laser welding".
The jury members were PhD. Céline Noël, and Professors Peter Plapper, Robert Sporken, Didier Leonard, and Herman Terryn.
The PhD project has been achieved thanks to the supervision of Pr. Laurent HOUSSIAU and the help of the Laser-STAMP frame which allowed to study the adhesion phenomenon between polyamide-6.6 and aluminum or titanium assembled by laser welding.
