Tarek Barakat awarded

European Commission’s “Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions" (MSCA) 2019 award in the category "Innovation and Entrepreneurship".

Tarek Barakat has received the European Commission’s “Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions" (MSCA) 2019 award in the category "Innovation and Entrepreneurship".

Tarek’s work for the past 4 years has been focused on developing an exhaust air purification system for use in wood stoves. The work has been achieved in collaboration with Stûv, a Walloon company based in Bois-de-Villers.

The MSCA awards are granted yearly to recognize achievements in transferring high-level scientific works into business opportunities, and bridging the gap between Universities and industries of the region, in particular to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Congratulations to Tarek, to the CMI laboratory, to the NISM institute and to all the colleagues that helped make achieving this award possible.
